David has spent almost forty years deeply invested in collecting, researching, and performing old style Irish songs. He has visited Ireland many times and has attended dozens of traditional singing and music festivals as well as hundreds of singing sessions there. He had the good fortune to sing with many of the great traditional Irish singers of the last century. He has produced one album, My Lovely Mountain Home, of which Michéal Ó Cuaig, founder of the Joe Heaney Festival, says, "...fine achievement...masterly rendition. He would be well in the running for distinction among some of Ireland's finest sean-nós singers."
