Elise LeBlanc writes songs that explore strength in vulnerability and stubborn optimism. Her bright vocals blend indie-folk stylings with vintage jazz. With a blend of woodsy, folk instrumentation, Elise creates a mood that is upbeat and earthy. Her debut album, Runaway Kites weaves a varied tapestry featuring vintage organs, guitar, lapsteel, and banjo uke. Elise has been performing in the NW Folk scene since 2011. She was awarded the Canadian Foundation for the Arts grant to fund the production and release of her debut album, Runaway Kites. She currently makes her home in Portland, OR.
